Kindle · EPUB
Open the Kindle's browser, type the 4-character key you'll see, and pick the book from your phone or computer. We convert your EPUB to the Kindle format for you. Free, and no account.
Send an EPUB and we convert it to AZW3, the format your Kindle opens. MOBI and AZW3 files arrive as they are. A PDF with text can be sent too: we turn it into an EPUB in your browser (the PDF never leaves your phone or computer) and then into the Kindle format. It works well for novels and essays; tables or two columns may come out messy, and a scanned PDF can't be converted.
It only works with DRM-free books, the ones you can move between devices. A DRM book (from Amazon, Kobo or an eBiblio loan) can't be converted or read outside its own app, and we don't try.
We keep it for a few minutes, only to hand it to you, then delete it: 10 minutes after you download it, or after 5 of inactivity. We don't read it or keep copies. You can remove it sooner with the trash icon on the e-reader's screen.
It depends on the model and the version. Many e-ink Kindles have it as the "Experimental Browser". If yours doesn't, this tool won't work.
The same way as an EPUB: pick the PDF on the send page and, because the Kindle's browser only downloads Kindle formats, we convert it first. It becomes an EPUB in your browser, without uploading the PDF, and only the EPUB is uploaded. A scanned PDF (photos of pages) or one with a password can't be converted.
