Violet Sorrengail expected a quiet life among books as a scribe, but her mother, the commanding general, forces her to enter Basgiath War College to try to become a dragon rider. Smaller and more fragile than the rest, she faces dragons that won't accept the weak and fellow cadets ready to get rid of her, among them Xaden Riorson, a wingleader with reasons to hate her family.

Why we only look at used copies

In Spain, Law 10/2007 fixes the price of new books: the publisher sets it and shops can only take 5% off. Amazon, FNAC and your local bookshop all cost the same. The only place the price moves is second-hand.
