Who it's for
For readers interested in strategy, politics and the game of power in history and at work. Critics are divided: Kirkus Reviews called it nonsense and Newsweek pointed out that its laws contradict each other, while the author argues that only a few of them are manipulative. This edition is an abridged version.
Why people still read it
In the United States alone it has sold more than 1.2 million copies, has been translated into 24 languages and became a cult book among hip-hop musicians, Hollywood figures and prison inmates; several US prisons have banned it. The rapper 50 Cent sought Greene out because of it, and that collaboration led to The 50th Law.

Why we only look at used copies

In Spain, Law 10/2007 fixes the price of new books: the publisher sets it and shops can only take 5% off. Amazon, FNAC and your local bookshop all cost the same. The only place the price moves is second-hand.
