- Who it's for
- For readers who like humour that makes them think, with everyday philosophical questions voiced by children. It works both as an introduction to Mafalda and as a themed reread.
- Why people still read it
- Generations of readers have grown up with Mafalda; Umberto Eco called her a heroine of our time, and in El Cultural Rafael Narbona wrote that she is still alive for younger readers, not merely as nostalgia.

Why we only look at used copies
In Spain, Law 10/2007 fixes the price of new books: the publisher sets it and shops can only take 5% off. Amazon, FNAC and your local bookshop all cost the same. The only place the price moves is second-hand.
